Two Dresden Leibniz institutes, the Leibniz Institute of for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW) and the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research (IPF), are among the top 20 of the non-university institutes in the recently published ranking of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
The ranking reflects how attractive German research institutes are for foreign scientists. In the top 20 of the ranking, IFW and IPF are, together with the Leibniz Institute for New Materials in Saarbruecken, the only institutes not belonging to the Max Planck Society.
