Third Cohort of the Dresden Leibniz Graduate School Welcomed

In 2012, the Dresden Leibniz Graduate School (DLGS) is supporting young researchers in the spatial sciences, economics, and social science with six grants. Members of the third cohort come from Ghana, Russia, Latvia, and various parts of Germany.

Until 2014 they will be working on their doctorates with the backing of the DLGS interdisciplinary study programme. The common umbrella topic for the doctoral dissertations is “urban and regional resilience”. The internationally oriented graduate school was established in 2008 by the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development, the Technische Universität Dresden, and the Academy for Spatial Research and Planning, Hanover to exploit synergies between university and non-university research institutions in the major research centre Dresden.
