The opening event of the SAN, which took place on 27 March 2017 at the CRTD, was dedicated to the future developments of life in cities and communities as well as in rural areas. The extensive range of issues addressed is deliberately chosen and covers the societal and cultural change as well as the technological and medical innovations of our time.

DRESDEN-concept offered the freedom and stage to present your research question or approach on alternating, overarching research topics in the form of a short lecture followed by thought-provoking discussions with interested scientists.

We would greatly appreciate if you were to actively make use of the intersections between the individual scientific disciplines and the partner institutions in order to develop common ideas for innovative endeavours. Science is international – so you will be able to communicate in German and English during the event.
