Coronavirus - 3D printing

DRESDEN-concept Partners join forces to fight Coronavirus

3D printing initiative to support the supply of healthcare facilities

In conjunction with biosaxony, DRESDEN-concept is building up a network of 3D printing experts throughout Saxony to supply hospitals and other healthcare providers with currently unavailable materials. The network involves numerous research institutions of the DRESDEN-concept research alliance, the University of Leipzig, and Saxon companies. At present, the activities are focused primarily on the production of protective visors for medical personnel. This page provides you with all the relevant information, should you choose to participate in this project, as well as an overview of the partners involved.

Update: Current printing pause

As numerous elements are currently in stock and the processes are being optimized for an upcoming injection moulding production, we ask you to let the printing rest until the next announcement on this homepage. Many thanks!

Would you like to print protective visor?

We are delighted that you would like to participate in this venture. To ensure that all protective visors comply with the quality requirements, we kindly ask that research institutions contact Lena Herlitzius, TU Dresden Advisor to DRESDEN-concept:

We request that companies contact André Hofmann, CEO of Biosaxony:

After contacting the relevant party, you will receive an invitation to a communication platform.

Print Files (Open Source, provided by the DDc Partners):

In cooperation with the medical staff of the Dresden Municipal Hospitals and the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital, our scientists have created optimised construction files, which we will make available to you as open source files (as stl):
